Update - July 2006

What a generic title. Well, the message itself, I promise not to be generic. Well, our mom has been letting us outside on the balcony, just to hang out. It's been nice out and we've been enjoying it immensely. We even freak her out when we balance on the one inch wide railing. So funny!

The house has been a mess, there's no food in the fridge (although we did get Fancy Feast tuna the other day), I swear she wears the same black pants every other day, and she hasn't changed the sheets in a month! I don't know what's going on, but she was like this for like two months after the Hawkeye incident as she calls is...oh wait, the Roadwork Case. ha! Anyway, it can't last forever but we want to see a smile again! And not just because she sees us running to her when she walks through the door. She misses us when she's at work and loves it when Portia sits on her lap at the computer and purrs away. I have even felt so bad for mom that I try to be as affectionate as I can. I just meow and wait for mom to come over and pet me. Then I purr. I think she just needs someone to care once in a while. Portia & I were talking about that a while ago. That's why we try to be as affectionate as possible these days.

I think mom wants to move too. She really does need a change of pace. All we can do is love her and be there for her so she's not completely alone.

Well, back to meowing.....
